Somewhat-Indefinite Most Definitely Possible Semi-Hiatus of Indefinably

{ Well, my Chief muse is pretty much here and there when it want’s to be—and with a lack of motivation with our beloved Armoured Casket as of recently. I’m unsure what to do with Chief as of recently—so I’ll be putting him on a somewhat hiatus. I’m not retiring him for good or forever, but my activity with Chief will be severely cut down for now till I figure out what to do with him and I get more motivation for playing a ‘strong-silent-stoic type’ again.

That all said, I can still be found roleplaying about here—primarily on my Birdy blog, and I can always be found on my Didact and Dark Samus blogs as well when on them.

Keep It Clean, everybody~ }

Fierce recognition continued in abundance of ascertainment, head tipping low with the weight of his words. For someone’s presence to suggest credit of higher title, and know nothing about the federation gave rise to a peculiar qualm in her spine, settling in with the vast measures of the unknown she struggled to overcome. Though she could have found an agreeable amount of work with her prioritized skillset, she still had an undesirable attachment to what she knew; as the normality of every other living creature.

The flash of dull green that coveted her own countenance, watched him carefully as he was pushed into a questionable pause. Air raged against reticence, the spiraling stares that crippled their conversation becoming the epitome of interest. If she could watch his expression, there would have been an abundance of information to be shared, but perhaps that was exactly why he wouldn’t allow for it.

Such a thing was a trial of her own conscious, past memory of what she had initially done in the first couple of years she had bred herself into bounty hunting. To remain unmasked and unseen by others, repelling those with a stoic silence that brought out the best and worst in her. Though, not too many people cared for the woman underneath the suit, and that was how she would have rather kept it. That could have been the relating case between them. But, who knew the man’s reasoning to the denial of glassy visors, able to vision of those around?

Some, wanted to be remembered as a face, and others, wanted to be remembered by a symbol.

A quick strum of the blur of surroundings she was so vacantly standing in, the hunter prods to understand the vastness of the internal structure. Samus had seen such primed experiences of inner design, but never in such a colossal size. Perhaps it was her sense of difference between her own gunship and this one— Colorful technologies leering in her iris whilst this one was smoothed over with a finer color of a bluer ebony. “Right. And what is that, exactly?”

Transportation? War? A bunker? There were too many factors for a wild guess, she could presume. “Ships like these only come around when we’re dealing with invasions.” With the large number of weapons that proceeded into her view, it was hard not to guess.

The Infinity, a vessel of gargantuan stature that’d been hundreds—if not potentially thousands of years ahead of it’s time. With the advent of discovery with the Forerunners’ abandoned technology that’d drifted in eternal silence of space midst the war with the Covenant—it’d shifted the tides of war, with humanity becoming the dominant force in the galaxy instead of a stepping stone.

Although, recent events had still shook the foundation, even with their now heightened potential… Bornstellar’s attack was a surprise, a vicious and brutal one. The Infinity barely stood against the Promethean war vessel that came out of the blue and struck at the crown jewel of humanity with the Composer.

Goes to show, when it seems like you are the top of the food chain—there is always a bigger fish waiting for you at the top.

“The Infinity is a multipurpose vessel, primarily an exploratory vessel—but it can easily fill other purposes if need be.” The Spartan responded upfront in a explanatory manner, quoting the pamphlet that he read earlier—it was truthful, though that’d not been the original intent in mind when it’d been built in absolute secrecy. He continued with the plain truth, while remaining simplistic and avoiding the unnecessary details—details lead to questions, unwanted questions, the kind he didn’t take so kindly to addressing.

“It’s the first of it’s kind in a little over roughly thirty years since the end of war with the Covenant a couple years back. Built nothing but war ships, not that it helped much.”

[ If anyone needs me, I’ll be on my Birdy blog for a while now—trying to bring that up to speed since it’s still rather new. And hopefully churn more replies out, hopefully. ;A; ]

Alright, so a few friends of mine have been asking for some help with their writing. In general, they mean: how the heck do you get rid of writer’s block?

I’ve been writing since the day I could pick up a pen and write the alphabet, so I know all too well the torture of writer’s block. Now, if you’re a roleplayer, some of these tips might be a little confusing. But don’t worry, I’ll explain them in full. Here we go.

  • Take a break: Sometimes, the world gets a little crazy. You’re busy with school, work or your social life. This often leads to the destruction of all creative juices. A few good ways to relax are:
-taking a nap, playing a game, drinking a small cup of tea, reading a book.
A good night’s sleep always helps, too. The most important thing to remember here, too, is that you don’t need to stress yourself out over something that should be fun.
  • Research: I RP a canon character from a game. Recently, I hit a gigantic rut and almost just completely gave up RPing for good. That is, until the picked the game back up again and played through it. If you’re writing about something - let’s say you’re writing vampires - you want to do as much research as possible. Watch as many movies with vampires as possible. Read Dracula. Play Bloodrayne. Nit-pick all your favorite characteristics from them all and mix-match. It’s a lot easier to write when you know what you’re writing about.
  • Get feedback: As a kid, I always hated criticism. I was scared of it, actually. But trust me, it helps a lot. There is always a community of writers out there just like you. Let them be brutally honest. You’ll need it a lot more than you think!
  • Don’t keep your core focus on dispelling writer’s block: This is simple enough. Do not waste your time just sitting there staring at Word for an hour without a simple thought in your head. Like I said earlier, take a break. This should be fun, not stressful.
  • Don’t worry about it: You’re not less of a writer if you can’t think of a single thing. Even people in sports have off games. Just don’t beat yourself up about it!

I know that it’s very few tips to help you out, but these really do work for me. Especially when it comes to RPing. Lord knows sometimes you just want to [HEADDESK] and [SOB] when everything’s been stuffed up in your cranium. I’m always open if you have questions, too!
